Instead, pay for everything in advance or use credit cards without foreign transaction fees. We also recommend wearing a moneybelt or crossbody bag to protect yourself from theft!
- Book private transportation. While using public transportation or ride-sharing services like Uber may cost less money, they can be challenging to navigate when you don’t speak the language. Booking a private driver or transportation service ahead of time can be a great way to reduce the stress of international travel and make it easier to get around when you don’t understand the region’s language or customs.
